Exchange House

Exchange House was a select development of apartments by Henley Homes, located in the heart of the beautiful county town of Maidenhead in Berkshire. Created within the facade of a prime commercial building, the project posed an aesthetic challenge for presentation purposes.

We decided to use a illustrative treatment of the elevations of the development, as opposed to traditional CGI’s. An architectural sketch artist was commissioned to create spot illustrations from a MDUK location photography shoot, of the rich local landmarks and landscape, including Windsor Castle, the River Thames, Ascot and abundant recreational settings.

Due to its proximity to the river, the team developed a motif brand concept using the abstract depiction of a swan, known for its elegance and beauty, along with a Casque open-face double-edged font, complimented by a punchy burnt orange and charcoal-grey colour scheme. The chic, final perfect bound product was printed on an uncoated, textured stock with a delicate bronze hot-foil finish.
